PTA has introduced Sim Verification Number new method to control the fake sim activation which was causing of cyber crime and others fraud purpose. Now Pakistan Telecommunication authority PTA has announced they are going to use unique sim verification method in Pakistan which will be very help for sim owner and companies.
The newly introduced multi bio matric verification system will provide the complete identification of all hand figures before issuing new sim to customers. By using this method scammers can’t get any fake sim card using any fake fingerprints.
The chairman of PTA and NADRA has been held a meeting on this topic and have been decided to replace the new method with old one. The all of telecommunication companies Jazz, Ufone, Zong, Telenor, and others before providing a new sim to customer or replace duplicate sim take multiple finger prints for authentication of customers. To reduce human involvement in the process, the system will randomly request two imprints of each finger.
